Chapter VP, Chris, is the Director at Pinewoods Camp. She gets to live right there at camp! She will show us the native plants she has added to her yard as well as some of the native plantings around the camp. The address will be emailed a couple days in advance to those who sign up.
Chris was excited to begin gardening in her new abode until she realized the entire yard was filled with English ivy, gooseneck loosestrife, lily of the valley, and vinca. At a snail's pace, she has been removing the aggressive non-natives and replacing them with fast growing natives. See the progress she has made, learn some of the surprises she has found, and if you're up to it, yank a vine of ivy out.
